Nationally recognized, groundbreaking cardiac surgery.

With the most experience in the region, we have what it takes to keep your heart healthy. And we’re always pioneering new ways to do it even better.

* Consumer Reports Ratings of Hospital for Heart Surgery, Aug 2014

Your heart is what keeps you moving forward. It keeps us moving forward, too. We’ve pioneered groundbreaking cardiac procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in order to forge ahead and remain at the pinnacle of heart treatment.

We perform more cardiac surgeries than anyone else in the area while delivering unparalleled outcomes and consistently exceeding national quality benchmarks.

The Society of Thoracic Surgeons recognizes us in the top 2% across the U.S. for mitral valve replacement/repair and coronary artery bypass graft surgery.  And Consumer Reports ranked us among the top 15 hospitals in the U.S. for heart surgery.

More experience, more expertise.

We perform more than 400 heart valve replacements and more than 900 CABG and valve surgeries annually — more than any other hospital in the region.*

The first structural heart team in CNY.

Treating structural heart disease is a complex process requiring interventional, clinical and surgical skill sets working together to treat the entire range of patient conditions.

One set of cardiovascular specialists working together to address multiple issues is a more efficient and more effective treatment method. We instituted the first Structural Heart Program in Central New York, enabling us to achieve better patient outcomes, lower costs and fewer readmissions.
